About
Located 5 km from Troyes, Château de Barberey-Saint-Sulpice and its grounds form a 10-hectare property. The garden is surrounded by a moat fed by a branch of the Seine.
This formal garden, created in front of the château, is based on the division into four squares shown on a 17th-century plan. Here, every detail has been thought out and executed with precision. Even the gravel is the same color as the Louis XIII facade of brick and stone.
Harmony, perfection, purity of style: the grounds of Barberey-Saint-Sulpice are even more beautiful when viewed from the reception rooms.
Admirably and patiently restored since 1964, in 1999 it was awarded the prestigious "public utility" label by the Comité des Parcs et Jardins de France.
