About
The garden design, inspired by the medieval liturgy of the Madeleine church ...
... recalls the history of the site and presents a collection of plants in predominantly green and white colors, symbols of eternity, purity and wisdom.
Located on a former cemetery adjoining Sainte-Madeleine church, the oldest in Troyes (12th century), the Jardin des Innocents invites the public to discover the hidden face of the church, through the remains of a rib-vaulted funeral gallery.
As the site allows for an extension of the garden, the Landscaping Department offers a different way of discovering the flora. The public is invited to observe areas of natural biodiversity through a series of openings.
