"The girl who gives a kiss" - Rue Clemenceau
This tender 1.60 m statue, on the sidewalk in front of the Swing Bridge Operator's House, is the work of a Dutch sculptor Sjer Jacobs born in 1963.
It is an augmented scale reproduction of one of his works in the city of Middelburg (Netherlands), called Sofia. What a beautiful invitation to kiss in this city known for its love classes at the time of the Countess Marie de Champagne and the courtly love novels of Chrétien de Troyes!
