About

The Purification of the Virgin church dates from the 12th and 16th centuries.
It was built during the two great periods of prosperity in the 12th and 16th centuries.

Today, renovations are underway to consolidate the building's walls and carry out a thorough cleaning.

The interior decoration is remarkable and unusual for the figurative sculptures at the lintel level. It was rare for 16th-century Aube churches to decorate these protruding parts, which were used to support the weight of the rib, arch or column.
The church's 16th-century stained glass windows are listed as historic monuments, as are some of its furnishings, including a 14th-century painted limestone Saint-Evêque, a 16th-century painted limestone Virgin and Child, and a late 18th-century Louis XVI-style celebrant's chair.
