About

This chapel in Courgerennes (Buchères hamlet) is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. It dates from the 12th century and was remodeled in the 16th century.

Interesting furnishings include a Louis XIII-style tabernacle, a stone altarpiece, a 17th-century wooden choir screen, fragments of 16th-century stained glass (Last Judgment, Annunciation, etc.) and a sculpted group of the Education of the Virgin by the Champenoise School from the same period.
