About
Messon is framed to the northeast by the Saint-Pierre-ès-liens church, whose apse and transept date from the 16th century. The nave, designed in 16th-century style in the 19th century, is a later addition to the building.
Some of its furnishings are classified as historic monuments.
These include a painted ceramic bust of Edme François Congniassé Desjardins de Fontvannes, dating from the 18th/19th century, and a small wooden statuette of the Virgin of the Assumption, carved, painted, gilded, silvered and finely composed. The statuette dates from the 17th century, and the assembly dates from the 19th century.
