About
A technical library
Around 32,000 old and contemporary volumes make up what is now France's second largest technical library.
Composed mainly of technical works on a variety of themes (tools, history of trades, techniques, fine arts, workers and peasant writers...) the library notably houses very rare and very old works such as the 35 volumes of the first edition of the Encyclopaedia of Diderot and d'Alembert (1751 - 1780) or the second edition of the treatise De Architectura (the ten books) by Vitruvius (1572 - it is considered to be the only complete treatise of Antiquity).
A contemporary collection, numerous current magazines as well as computer stations and specialized software make it a real place of learning and training for professionals and the curious.
