About
Installed in the courtyard of the Hôtel-Dieu-le-Comte, this garden recalls the primary function of the Hôtel-Dieu-le-Comte, Troyes hospital between the 12th and 19th centuries.
It is considered one of the most beautiful and most modern hospitals in France in 1781.
The garden contains medicinal plants also called "magic plants" because of their mysterious power. They have contributed to the well-being of humanity and are still omnipresent in our pharmacopoeia today.
About 80 species of medicinal plants are presented (nettle, clary sage, noble laurel, alkékenge, vine, pulmonary, chervis...).
Access
The medicinal plants garden, installed in the courtyard of the Hôtel Dieu-le-Comte (access via rue de la Cité), is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 7pm, during the day (closed on Mondays).
