About
Vailly is located 10 km northeast of Troyes, in the agricultural plains of the Champagne chalk region, and is easy to reach thanks to its proximity to the RD977 and the A26 freeway.
The heart of the village features the town hall, church and multi-purpose hall.
The church of Saint Nicolas, part of which is Romanesque, has a Latin cross plan with a single nave and two bell towers above the nave.
The village's main activity is farming. There are 8 farms, a vineyard and two apiaries in the woods. A hiking trail winds its way through the countryside, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
The town hall is in the classic style of 19th-century public buildings, with symmetrical openings.
The multi-purpose hall, a former barn in pure Champagne style, is enhanced by landscaping. The commune has also created a playground for the little ones and a multi-sports field, which are available to its residents.
At the entrance to the village is the artisanal zone, where a multinational company specializing in the environment and a freight transport company have already set up shop. 8 farmers and a number of artisanal and industrial businesses drive the economy, with most Vailletons working in the greater Troyenne area.
