About
Waste management is a key factor in preserving the environment.
Troyes Champagne Métropole's seven waste collection centers recycle all types of waste (green waste, wood, scrap metal, household appliances and other electronic waste, glass, paper, hazardous household waste, etc.) brought in directly and exclusively by Troyes Champagne Métropole residents.
Sainte-Savine, Pont-Sainte-Marie, Saint-Julien-les-Villas, La Chapelle-Saint-Luc, Saint-Lyé, Bucey-en-Othe and Vauchassis all have their own free-of-charge, manned drop-off centers.
Use of the depots is free of charge for private individuals, up to a limit of 1m3 per day.
Only passenger vehicles and vehicles less than 1.90m high are authorized to enter the site.
In partnership with Foyer Aubois and Veolia Propreté, Troyes Champagne Métropole has set up a service to recover potentially reusable equipment.
Users can drop off their end-of-life furniture, bicycles, sofas, shelves and other knick-knacks for possible social redistribution. The objects taken back are integrated into a social economy network, with the aim of being resold by the Foyer Aubois on its premises, at very low prices, to people in precarious situations. In this way, the ecological gesture doubles up as an ethical gesture of solidarity. To carry out this initiative, the Foyer Aubois employs some sixty disadvantaged people in integration projects and workshops. The aim of this economic activity is to facilitate their social and professional integration.
