About

Believing pilgrims are said to have created this commune not far from the Lirey church where the Holy Shroud of Jesus Christ was apparently hidden many years ago.

The river Mogne runs through this beautiful commune, and we had to differentiate its name from that of Longueville, also in the Aube region, to avoid misrouting mail. The other commune took the name of Longueville sur Aube. The various settlements of the time would have given the name longue-ville, then over the years, it would have become Longeville.

Troyes is 20 minutes away by car, and the commune is served by the TER line, Troyes/Laroche-Migennes, with 5 round trips a day, even during the vacations. This peaceful commune, located 15 km from Bouilly, wants to keep its rural soul and tranquility, while looking to the future.

The nursery and elementary school are grouped together with a school bus and located 10 minutes away, in the commune of Jeugny, and the secondary school in the commune of Bouilly.

The Loisirs Longevillois association organizes a number of festivities throughout the year with local volunteers.

A bar-tobac-grocery-lotto with bread to order is open all week except Mondays.

The commune has no church, but is linked to Saint-Jean-de-Bonneval church and cemetery, both 10 minutes away.
