About
The exhibition invites 7-12 year-olds to go on a mission with their favorite Ace of the Jungle heroes, while learning about the protection of ecosystems, biodiversity and the rainforest environment.
This exhibition was designed and produced by the Toulouse Natural History Museum and the Toulouse animation studio TAT Productions.
Resin figurines of the Aces of the Jungle characters welcome visitors to an introductory area, which takes the form of the Aces' headquarters from the eponymous series, called Le Repaire.
The Aces of the Jungle, super-justicians of the forest, will come face to face with the real world and discover the species that inspired their conception.
A problem soon arises: Maurice, the leader of the gang, notices that Miguel the gorilla has disappeared. He has been kidnapped and locked in a code-locked cage by the otter Mélina.
The Aces are going to need help to find Miguel! Thanks to a video on the introductory terminal, visitors learn about their mission: to save Miguel.
They are invited to become a rainforest "super-adventurer".
In the highly immersive Mission area, young visitors have to work their way through the 5 mission terminals, armed with their investigation booklet, to find the secret code that will free Miguel.
To discover the 5-digit secret code in Miguel's cage, they will have to answer questions about the tropical rainforest, the interactions between plant and animal species, and the threats to the ecosystem....
The pirates are also after the code that will free Miguel, having learned of its market value in the real world. Unable to reconstitute it themselves, they attack the visitors...
Using a crossbow system, visitors must help the Aces by fighting their enemies. If they hit them all, the code will appear. An interactive quiz deals with the problems of deforestation and its consequences. It raises awareness among young visitors of the importance of preserving the environment.
Once all the clues have been collected, visitors go to the dedicated area and have to type in the code to free Miguel. There's a focus on the species, with a touchable gorilla mould and a slide show on the state of gorilla populations around the world.
